2017-18 VARSITY SWIM TEAM 62-32 OFA
The St. Lawrence Central varsity girls swim team opened the 2017 NAC Division I season by steadily pulling away to a 62-32 decision at home over OFA on Thursday. Breanna Anderson and Daisy Bissonette anchored the winning effort with two individual first-place efforts each as the Lady Larries scored wins in all but one event. Anderson paced the 200 freestyle in 2:30.52 and the 500 freestyle in 7:00.69 while Bissonette led the 50 freestyle in 29.71 seconds and the 100 in 1:07.09. Also posting solo firsts for SLC were Emily Lantry in the 200IM with a time of 2:28.1, Madison Debyah in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:18.3 and Alexis Ramsdell in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:17.59. The team of Ramsdell, Debyah, Lantry and Bissonette opened the meet by leading the 200 medley relay in 2:14.25. Debyah and Lantry later combined with Madisyn Cheney and Kenadee Love to pace the 200 freestyle relay in 2:00.08. Anderson, Cheney and Bissonette closed out the meet by teaming up with Genevieve Gonzalez to claim the 400 freestyle relay in 4:36.23. Madison Wescott led the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.12 to account for the lone OFA win.
