2017 ST. LAWRENCE RUN BURNS N-N FLYERS IN SEMIFINAL 58-55

St. Lawrence Central’s Bailee Gauthier (24) leaps over three Norwood-Norfolk defenders to score off the short jumper. The Larries' 23-4 run in the first half lifted the Larries to a 58-55 victory over Norwood-Norfolk to advance to the Section X Class C Championship where they will take on Madrid-Waddington. Norwood-Norfolk’s Cassidy Weaver (13) breaks through the defensive efforts of St. Lawrence Central’s Bailee Gauthier (24) to score off the layup. After falling behind 13-2 to start the game, St. Lawrence Central turned the game around with a 23-4 run and took a 28-18 lead over Norwood-Norfolk at the half. The #3-seeded Larries then had to fend off a spirited Flyers’ comeback to beat second-seeded N-N 58-55 in the Section X Class C semifinal. Maggie Yandoh popped in a game-best 22 points, while Breanna Evans tossed in 15 points for the Larries who advance to face top-seed Madrid-Waddington in the Class C championship. Shannyn St. Andrews led the Flyers with 13 points, while Madi Sequin chipped in 12. N-N’s season finished at 10-11 overall.
